Cannot debug into IIS, can't run app

Mar 20, 2012 at 1:04 PM

I noticed that whenever I attempted to run the included code, I received the following error:

There was an error attaching the debugger to the IIS Worker process for URL:// for role instance 'deployment(192).Bowlus.Bowlus.AppHost_IN_0'. Unable to start debugging on the web server. Could not start ASP.Net debugging.

When I go into inetmgr (while the error dialog is still up) and click on the site, I get a 503 error. I have also checked:

a. re-ran ASPNET_regiis.exe -i

b. made sure the files were not on a network drive

c. Set my app pools to enable 32bit applications

d. Made sure some other app wasn't using port 8080

Anyone else seeing this issue?

This error means the emulated server is crashed before it can start. You need to clean your environment:

delete tenentaDeploymentTable in Azure table storage (this table will be automatically created when the app starts);

delete all bowlus related website in IIS;

If all these don't help, you may try to rebuild Azure simulated storage (refresh Azure local test storage related to your SQL Express).
